Standard workshops are usually one of the following:
1/2 day - usually 3 hours, for example 9am - 12pm
Full day - usually the full school day, if you are not a school, this will be the length of day you have planned for your robotics acitivity
However, if your requirements are different, that is absolutely fine, we are very flexible.
For example you may need a 2 hour session, or 3 lots of 4 hour sessions. We can accomodate most types of requests.
Do you only work with schools?
Nope. We work with any organisation that wants to run robotics activities either with kids or adults.
We often work with universities, charities, other companies, festivals and so on.
We have a range of great robotics activities and workshops that can suit different styles of delivery.
For example short, snappy activities that are really funny and give people passing a delightful few minutes - perfect for conferences or festivals.
And inspiring, in depth robotics challenges for at risk people or disadvantaged students to get them back on track.
How do I book a workshop?
You can call us on 0117 213 0141 or email us: hello(at)restech(dot) org (dot) uk or fill in any of the contact forms on this website.
We will discuss your requirements & preferred dates, work out the best options for you, your students and your budget, then we'll book you in on our system.
You will receive a booking confirmation and any other details that need to be sorted.
On the day we turn up and be brilliant!
And what happens during a workshop?
All workshops are slightly different, but as a general outline:
All kids will get to use, program and build some robots - how much they do will depend on the length of the workshop.
We have very small groups so everyone gets really stuck in.
We always have some fun mini challenges ready for them, please ask for details.
And we always put things in context for them, so they understand the relevance of what they are doing and the why aswell - this will be discussed when you contact us.
We place large emphasis on practical activities and the majority of time kids spend programming/making/competing etc.
Are your workshops enjoyable for the children?
Yes, children and staff find them very enjoyable.
We very deliberately create a relaxed, but disciplined atmosphere. Students know what is expected behaviour wise, and they also know that they are allowed to push boundaries and try out their own ideas - even if it goes wrong.
Also, don't just take our word for it
